Two Decades of Court-Building Expertise, Now in Vancouver

CourtNova Sports Construction LTD was founded in Vancouver by Yunzhang, who spent many years building and maintaining tennis courts across mainland China before relocating to British Columbia to establish CourtNova.

Yunzhang holds an ITF (International Tennis Federation) Level 2 coaching certification. That coaching-level understanding of how a surface actually plays — ball bounce, footing, pace — directly informs how we approach every construction and resurfacing project: the base and surfacing choices we recommend are chosen with the player's experience in mind, not just the contractor's convenience.

Throughout his career in China, Yunzhang led and contributed to the construction of numerous tennis facilities, from single municipal courts to large multi-court resort and club complexes — several of which are featured on our Portfolio page as evidence of that hands-on experience. CourtNova Sports Construction LTD is a newly registered British Columbia company; the projects shown represent the founder's personal professional background rather than work completed under the CourtNova name in Canada.

Today, CourtNova brings that same technical rigor to Metro Vancouver, offering court construction, surfacing, facility installation, equipment, and maintenance services for residential, club, and municipal clients.
